The palate has a thick creamy entry, very powerful for a 2007, a lot of well-integrated oak lending to a lactic, mocha-tinged finish. Not as Burgundian as it was out of barrel, but there is lovely focus and sense of harmony and it possesses that -gourmand- quality that Francois is looking for. Excellent.
