The Sheriff of Buena Vista is deserving of its name. This bold 2018 Sonoma County Red Wine is an authoritative blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Grenache, Petite Verdot, Mourvedre, Merlot, and Mission. This wine jumps from the glass opening with bold aromas of plum, black cherries and violets on the nose. On the palate this wine is silky to the touch and juicy with flavors of blackberry jam, black currant and freshly cracked black pepper. Rich layers of dark chocolate and star anise then emerge on the finish, balanced with firm tannins and bright acidity.
