José Manuel has launched a personal project aimed at showcasing the vineyards of his home region, Valdepeñas. The region was long looked down upon for its mass production, despite possessing exceptional vineyards. As a qualified oenologist, José Manuel discovered old goblet-trained vines in the highest areas of the DO Valdepeñas, situated between 740 and 850 metres above sea level, planted on very poor claylimestone soils. These vines and their terroir lend José Manuel’s wines a unique character, characterised by richness, power, elegance and complexity.
