L'Aventure

In 1998, Stephan Asseo arrived from Bordeaux and selected a 127-acre vineyard on Paso Robles’ Westside for its ideal terroir—sloping hills, varied elevations, complex soils, and excellent drainage—laying the foundation for high-quality wines that blend French tradition with California character. Complementing this vision, the winery combines traditional craftsmanship with modern, state-of-the-art equipment, and its small but efficient design—with 20 tanks—allows each vineyard block to be fermented separately, enabling greater control and creativity in crafting distinctive blends.
