Gros Frère et Soeur presents, with its 2017 vintage, its very first cuvée of Chemin des Moines de Vergy. Resulting from several years of work and reflection, this new parcel originating from a unified plot of three hectares and eighty ares, overlooks the Grands Crus of Vosne-Romanée. This area without a geographic indication benefits from a composition of exceptional clay-limestone soil, ressembling other grands terroirs in Burgundy. Planted as high vineyards, with a selection of the best pinot noir, the vines are exposed to the rising sun. Territory of the Monks of Vergy, the plot runs along the path that they took daily to reach the abbey of Saint-Vivant from Vosne-Romanée as well as their fermenting room. The history of this place naturally inspired the name of this wine, like most appellations from Burgundy that are governed by the reference of their place of origin.
