Medium purple with a crimson rim. Understated aromas of spices, flowers, toast and Havanna cigars, underlying a solid core of black fruit, balsam and dry earth. This wine is serious and dignified, with a smooth body and a crisp, stimulating acidity. Characterstic and very well-defined, with layers of blackcurrants and blackberries, some balsamic and scrubland remembrances and a long, deeply mineral finish.
